Dundalk Schoolboys League (U’10 – U’17)
Glenmuir Academy (U’6 – U’9)
Glenmuir Football Club was formed in 1976 and its training and playing facilities comprised of the green areas in the local housing estates and later the grounds of DkIT.
In 1994 Glenmuir United F.C. agreed the purchase of 4.5 acres of land off Hoey’s Lane Dundalk from Dundalk Town Council for use as football pitches. The land as it stood at the time of purchase was quite unsuitable for use as a playing surface and a considerable amount of work was required to convert it into football pitches. The whole area had to be excavated, drainage installed, new surface laid and grass seed sown. We also had to construct a gravel road approx 200 yards in length from the main road to the entrance of the pitch.
